What is Gin?

Gin is a strong spirit or alcoholic drink made by distilling a fermented grain mash. By adding juniper berries (or sloe berries in the case of sloe gin), it gets its specific flavour. The flavour of regular gin is very dry (unlike sloe gin), which is why it is rarely drunk neat.
