Reasons for imposing a ban can be:

- Flooding, overwhelming the website with (always the same) messages
- Trolling: deliberately playing other users of the website against each other
- Swearing or expressing racist language
- Expressions that violate the law
- Repeatedly posting messages that violate the website's policy
- Attempting to hack the website
