What is Sherry?

Sherry is a Spanish fortified wine that is aged using the solera system. Sherry comes from the Jerez de la Frontera region in the far south of Andalusia. Only wine from this region may be called sherry. Sherry is the English corruption of Jerez.

How much alcohol is in Sherry?

Depending on the type of sherry, it contains between 15 and 20% alcohol.
