What is Grand Marnier?

Grand Marnier is a liqueur first created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle of the Marnier company founded by his family in 1827. It is a type of triple sec, made from a mixture of cognac, distilled orange essence and other ingredients. Red Label or Cordon Rouge is the standard quality Grand Marnier, which is called "Grand Marnier" by everyone.
