What is Midori?

Midori is a Japanese melon liqueur produced by Suntory. The drink is made with netted melons. The liqueur was only produced in Japan until 1987, since then the liqueur has also been produced in Mexico and France. The name Midori comes from Japanese and means 'green', after the colour of the drink. The liqueur is particularly sweet and is therefore mainly mixed or processed in cocktails.
