Jagermeister

What is Jägermeister?

Jägermeister (German for huntsman) is a herbal liqueur produced in Wolfenbüttel, Germany.
Originally, the herbal drink was intended as a cure-all, a panacea.
The liqueur can be consumed neat (but then chilled) or as a mixed drink.
It can be traditionally mixed with orange juice or Coca Cola, but there are also special recipes in combination with cocoa or milk.
In some countries, it is customary to mix the drink with the energy drink Red Bull, a combination that is called Jägerbomb, Vliegend Hert or Turbojäger.
In Finland, the informal name for this cocktail is 'battery acid'.
