Orange liqueur

Orange liqueur


0,3 cup - Cognac
1 cup - Stroh Rum
0,5 cup - Orange peel
5 cup - Water
3 cup - Sugar
1 piece - Cinnamon
3 piece - Clove

Preparation:
Grate the orange peel(s) on a fine grater and rub them in a mortar as finely as possible.
Sprinkle some of the sugar over the grated and mortared peels.
Then put mixture in a bottle with a wide neck.
Add the alcohol and cognac.
Close the bottle tightly and let this mix sit for a week.
After that week, add the rest of the sugar, the cloves and the cinnamon stick to the 5 cups of water.
Let this mixture boil for 5 minutes.
Then let the water cool down.
Remove the cinnamon stick from the cooled mixture.
Pour the cooled mixture into the bottle and close it tightly.
Let this mix sit again for at least a week.
Then you can enjoy your homemade orange liqueur.
