What is white wine?

White wine is made from the juice of grapes. The must is therefore free of skins, stalks and pips. Because grape juice contains little to no colouring agent, the wine will be almost clear. White wine can also be made from blue grapes. White wine made from white grapes is also called Blanc de blancs. The actual colour of the wine is determined by the grape variety used.
