What is Bessenjenever?

Bessenjenever, also abbreviated to berries or berriestje, is a fruit jenever.
Bessenjenever is a traditional distilled drink made by steeping blackcurrants in jenever.
Sometimes raspberries are added to the berries, sometimes the drink is sweetened with sugar. Bessenjenever is wine red in colour.
