Boston shaker

The main feature of the Boston shaker is that it consists of two parts. The original Boston shakers consist of two silver cups that fit together, but nowadays you increasingly see that one half is made of stainless steel and the other half is made of glass.

Because the two halves fit exactly together, tampering is not possible!

Fill the glass 2/3 full with ice cubes, then add the ingredients, slide the metal cup over the glass, tap the shaker firmly on the glass. Pick up the shaker with 2 hands and shake the shaker vigorously back and forth (10 to 15 seconds).

Place the glass back on the tray, this time with the metal part downwards. Tap the top edge of the metal cup firmly with the heel of your hand to open the shaker. Once the glass is loose, place the strainer on the metal shaker and pour the cocktail into the glass.
