How do I create a John Collins cocktail?

1. Put some ice cubes in a shaker.
2. Pour in the whiskey and lemon juice and add a bar spoon of icing sugar.
3. Then shake the mix vigorously.
4. Place some ice cubes in a highball glass.
5. Pour the mixture through a strainer into the glass.
6. Top up the cocktail with cold soda water, to taste.
7. Stir everything well.
8. Present the cocktail with a straw.
9. Serve the cocktail immediately.
