How do I create a Sandy Collins cocktail?

1. Place some ice cubes in a highball glass or a large tumbler.
2. Add the remaining ingredients, except hot soda water.
3. Then stir the mix briefly.
4. Top up the cocktail with soda water to taste.
5. Then stir again.
6. Present the cocktail with a straw.
7. Serve the cocktail immediately.
